Excellent
Great wet shave product, smart looking, good design, smooth shave, very heavy but easy to use, great for beginners. I recommend it for use with Feather blades for best results.

Great razor EVEN for a newbie
This is my first month of use with a DE razor. I began with a Edwin Jagger DE89 and thought i would give this Merkur heavy razor a try. All i can say is that the Merkur 43c gives me a better shave than the much praised EJ89. I find that its weight is a plus for a beginner, making it much more easier to shave. I used it for the first time today and made a 4 pass shave with no nicks or cuts for the 1st time. I wish i had bought this before.

Good safety razor
Merkur 43C is a sturdy and good safety razor. If you have got coarse,tough beard then it's good for you.
