Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil is a lightweight, water-resistant UV defence mist that forms an invisible screen to help protect hair from sun exposure for up to sixteen hours, to minimise colour fading, damage and dryness.
Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil is formulated with UVA/UVB filters derived from wintergreen and cinnamon bark oils which help protect hair from sun damage; an anti-oxidising blend of green tea extract, certified organic sunflower seed oil and vitamin E that helps protect against free radicals; and certified organic shea butter, coconut and palm oils to condition and detangle.
Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil also contains a light tropical aroma blend of 100% certified organic essences of neroli, ylang ylang and wild-crafted cistus.
Directions of use:
- Spray evenly on dry or damp hair before and during sun exposure.
- Start with a small amount and layer as needed – do not saturate hair.
- Reapply after swimming.
- To protect hair before sun exposure:
- Spray Sun Care Protective Hair Veil on dry or damp hair.
- Style as usual.
- Reapply after swimming.
- To restore hair after sun exposure:
- Cleanse with Sun Care Hair and Body Cleanser to remove chlorine, salt and build-up head to toe.
- Follow with After-Sun Hair Treatment Masque, roots to ends.
- Leave in 2-5 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- When to Use: Before and during sun exposure.
- Application: Spray evenly on dry or damp hair. Start with small amount and layer as needed—do not saturate hair.
- Routine: Reapply after swimming.

Took the Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil (100ml) on holiday last week and unfortunately although I used it regularly every day, my hair colour has still gone a few shades lighter. It's only quite a small bottle so if you are swimming regularly you would need a bigger bottle. On the plus side, it has quite a nice scent. Probably wouldn't buy again as it didn't really improve the condition and was a bit more expensive compared with other sprays I have tried.

Disappointed
I am really disappointed in this Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil. It doesn't leave a nice feel on your hair. Smells awful and when it is washed out leaves the hair flat and lifeless.

Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil is fantastic. I could tell you what the weather was going to be like before weather man could! My hair always had a mind of its own until now. I spray just a little of this product on my hair every morning, and so many people say how good my hair is looking.

This product is lovely, spray it on and it makes your hair, nice and soft,plus the added protection of sunlight drying your hair out. A must for me.
