Redken Blonde Idol Custom-Tone Violet Conditioner (196ml)

I love Redken products I've used hundreds and I'm so dissapointed with this one! The concept is good the actual product once you get it out the contraption of a bottle is not bad but the pump on the bottles is a waste of time the dial takes you to six weeks post colour it would never last that long in a million years! You can tell there is a lot of product left in the bottle that gets wasted as you can't get it out the stupid bottle design so half hoes wasted and that makes it a very expensive mediocre conditioner! If they used the pumps available with salon size products and advised how much you needed each week in terms of pumps of each colour it might work but otherwise I'm now on the search for a new conditioner such a shame!

The purple tone of the bottle I received has no conditioner in it. I have spent 15 minutes at least pumping but all that comes out is air. The purple side of the bottle as well feels empty when I squeeze it. Very disappointed as this is an expensive product.

The Redken blonde idol conditioner is good, & does the job very well of neutralising brassy blonde hair, especially when u most need it a month before your next salon visit. I much prefer the previous style packaging, it was far easier to use & I could easily tell when I needed to replenish my conditioner. The new style packaging with the pump action is soooo frustratingly difficult to use. The pump is small & for my below chin level bob I have to pump precisely 22 times for a small palm full of product, it only pumps out small short bursts of conditioner. The idea of starting off light for when you have just had your hair coloured & increasing to intense bright purple conditioner to tone the brasiness is really a very cool idea... But REDKEN please change your packaging. I gave 3 stars as I love the results of the conditioner, my hair is left very hydrated, soft & beautifully toned highlights again, if the pump or packaging were improved I would give extra stars.

My hairdresser recommended this to me as she pasted on the peroxide to the ends of my hair. And hey presto is works! I have natural warm tones so when I decided to dye the ends blonde I was met with some unpromising looks by the colourist... but long and behold my hair lifted and 8 months later (whilst using this magic cream) it remains unbrassy! I use this at number 4 on the dial once a week and then whack it to 6 and mix it with a hair mask once a week... together with the blonde idol shampoo it has kept my hair in tip top condition. Genius product!

I was wary of this after reading some reviews about it being awkward to use, and yes it can be a bit awkward using the pump action on the bottle…BUT….my hair is due for a colour tomorrow and it still looks amazing from the last colour 7 weeks ago…I have been using this every week, not every day - maybe once a week and have set it to whichever week I was on and my colour still looks amazing. I will be buying again.

I just got my Blonde Idol in the mail maybe 3 days ago, and I can tell a BIG difference in my hair. It has been about 3 weeks since I've gotten my hair done and can't even tell and the brassy look is gone. !

This is so Good it leaves your hair so condition but also takes the brassiness out and the violet colour can be intensified to how you want it. Love this product will definitely buy again and recommend.

This product is excellent for your hair: very nurturing and your hair shines afterwars. Very easy to use also. It's nice that you can control the use weekly basis.

I have recently had my hair died blonde (natural brunette) and this toner gives your hair a lovely lift and gives it the sun kissed look. 10/10
